This portrait represents the Katipunan, a Philippine revolutionary society founded by Filipino anti-Spanish people in Manila in 1892, which was aimed primarily to gain independence from Spain through revolution. Also, the portrait shows about our beloved Heroes, in the bottom left it was shown how Jose Rizal died at the Luneta Manila. For me, the portrait want us to remember how our beloved Filipino Heroes fight for our country. The portrait was great because of the details. As you can see, tiny details shown perfectly and defines clearly how our fellow Filipinos united as one to fight for our country's freedom.
So for us now fellow young Filipinos, let us put our country together to come up to a higher economy and standards to avoid discrimination to other countries. Let's work hard and be proud that we are a Filipino citizen that will do anything to become a successful person. I can say that the portrait as an art because it has meaning, form and reached the elements of an art. Example of an element that the portrait reached is the space, as you can see there are 7 parts of the portrait then the artist compiled it into one beautiful and meaningful portrait. He don't used too much space for his portrait to show the people that our heroes united with each other to have our freedom.
