Third Blog Entry (MMFF)

My Little Bossings

My Little Bossings (also known as Torky and My Little Bossings) is a 2013 Filipino comedy film directed by Marlon Rivera, starring Vic SottoKris AquinoRyzza Mae Dizon, and James "Bimby" Aquino-Yap. The film is one of the 2013 Metro Manila Film Festival entries that has been recently released in theaters nationwide last December 25, 2013 by OctoArts Films, M-Zet Productions, APT Entertainment, and Kris Aquino Productions.

Plot

Torky (Vic Sotto) is a bookkeeper working for Baba (Kris Aquino) a millionaire cash management specialist. Because of some conflict in her business that puts her life in danger, Baba entrusts the safety of her son Justin (Bimby Aquino-Yap) to Torky who takes him home to meet his daughter Ice (Aiza Seguerra) and Ching (Ryzza Mae Dizon) the street urchin that the latter took under her wing. Given that Justin is not particularly fond of Torky, how all four of them would get along under one roof becomes the focus of the story.

Elements:

Cinematography:
-The cinematography of the film was good enough to captured my attention. The camera angles are good, the camera was steady and focused on the characters. I was amazed in the scene when Ryzza and Bimby taking a bath together then Ryzza used only one dipper to finished her bath while Bimby having a problem how to open fit a one dipper of water to finished his bath. And also the scene when Vic Sotto introduced the story where he put or edit his head into differemt bodies and countries. It was good editing.

Acting:
-The movie is comedy and drama. The acting of Mr. Vic Sotto is good enough to captured my attention and also Ryzza is good enough in acting at her young age. While Bimby's acting doesn't enough because there scenes of Bimby that are overacting.

Sound:
-The sound effects of the movie is quiet simple because it is a comedy and drama film, not a war or something action movie like American films that have Robots and Monsters.
